MSGS gas sensor

The MSGS gas sensor employs a thin layer of SnO2 for the detection of reducing gases such as Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrocarbons (HC) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).
The sensor is available in different packages: TO5 (MSGS 3000i) and SMD (MSGS 5000i).

Characteristics

  • Chip size: 2mm x 2mm
  • Sensitive area: ∅ 300μm
  • Requires interface electronics
  • Stable longterm operation

MSGS Interface

Microsens offers dedicated interface electronics to work with the MSGS gas sensor. The MSGS5000i can be obtained directly mounted onto a small ciruit with digital output. More details can be found here .
For the MSGS3000i we offer an analog interface, which allows heater and offset voltage regultation as well as sensor output amplification to increase the sensitivity of the gas sensor (see the Datasheet for more information).
